Isabella County (Mich.) soil conservation map collection, 1916,1948.

This collection consists of a hand colored paper map of the Isabella County (Mich.) Soil Conservation District, 1948, which measures approximately 32 x23 cm., with a legend, a 4 pp. typed guide, indicating what the colored areas on the map have in soils, slopes, erosion, and land use capability. Also included is a (partial) Topographical Map of the Vicinity of Mt. Pleasant, Isabella County (Mich.), surveyed by A.T. Fowler, 1916, [and printed by] the State of Mich., Board of Geological Survey, R. C. Allen, State Geologist. This map measures approximately 34x50 cm. and consists of paper glued onto canvas. It shows the area located north of High Street and west of Mission Street in Mount Pleasant. The Chippewa River and connected waterways are hand colored blue on the map. The missing part of the map apparently only had title information on it.
